Jake Socol

Individual Therapist,
Licensed Social Work Associate, Independent Clinical

I help teens and adults understand their minds and bodies through compassion and collaboration.

I believe everyone is the expert of their own experience. I am curious about your story and learning about who you are holistically. I am a systemic thinker who supports social justice, body liberation and people of all identities. I provide neurodivergent and queer-affirming care. I promote health at every size and it is my primary goal to create a safe space for self-exploration.

My person-centered approach to therapy involves harm reduction, mindfulness and empowerment. I help my clients to unlearn ableism and sizeism by helping them work with their bodies, not ag ainst them. I guide my clients to the right resources to help them advocate for their needs and receive the support they deserve in order to be successful.

I graduated from Syracuse University with my Masters in Social Work in 2023, and am licensed in Washington State as a Licensed Social Work Associate, Independent Clinical (LSWAIC) #SC61477848. I am working towards my full licensure under the direct supervision of Taylor Saunders, MSW, LICSW (LW61454767). In my time working in the mental health field, I have worked with individuals with eating disorders, substance use disorders, anxiety, depression and trauma. I also have experience working in college counseling supporting students through transitional stages.

I am a crafty nerd who loves building Legos, crocheting and paddle boarding. In my free time you can find me with my partner and our cats watching our favorite movies and TV shows. I resonate with quirky folks who are unapologetically themselves. I can be the Jake to your Finn and join you on this adventure. I look forward to embarking on this next quest with you.
