Starting (or continuing!) therapy takes a lot of courage. In a world full of fear and shame, I am proud of you for making this first step! I feel honored to be here with you to help you explore your healing journey. Together, we will explore and unlearn shame relating to self-efficacy. I offer a safe, judgment-free, and affirming zone to allow clients to express themselves freely.
I believe therapy is a collaborative effort between the client and the therapist, where we are both part of an awesome team! Through our time together you will discover that I draw from systems affecting your life and are met with empathy and humor. I practice a trauma-informed, strengths-based approach while fostering radical self-compassion and acceptance. I rely on evidence-based practices, such as solution-focused and somatics, and skill-building exercises to help my clients take the lessons in therapy to their day-to-day lives. I am also an AASECT Certified SexEducator and understand the importance of education in the therapy context. I give my clients permission to ask any questions they may have for me about anything, no matter how “silly” it may be. Remember, no question is silly! My approach to treatment is to provide an affirming environment for neurodiverse, queer/trans, poly/ENM, and kink/BDSM identities. I enjoy and am passionate about working with adults/older adults and couples looking to explore anxiety, depression, identity, neurodiversity, trauma, and shame. Of course, as each client is unique, I adapt my practice to each client to best fit their needs.
I understand how therapy can be intimidating through my journey of unlearning sexual shame inour society. My identity as a neurodivergent, queer, kinky therapist gives me a unique perspective just on how our identities interact with a variety of systems, small and large. I am currently an LSWAIC (#SC61568122) working towards my full licensure in the state ofWashington, under the direct clinical supervision of Jennifer Lee, LICSW (#LW00007904).
In my personal life, I enjoy reading an array of books of different genres, crocheting, cooking/baking, and listening to music. I feel most like myself power-walking out in nature listening to my favorite metal bands.
