Adam Milling

Individual Therapist, Licensed Social Work Associate, Independent Clinical

I help people of all ages struggling with their personal identity, family issues, or life transitions as they find out who they are and who they want to become.

I believe people are capable of amazing change with time, dedication, and support.

I think stress, anxiety, and depression are important signals from the body that an internal or external change needs to be made. These feelings can become overwhelming when the brain sees no possible change or end in sight. I treat each session as an opportunity for my client to re-calibrate their senses, brain, and body. I offer a safe and supportive space for people to explore their ideas without fear of judgement or shame. I help people name what makes them a strong, unique individual and apply this identity to change themselves or their environment.

I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in 2023 with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. I worked as a research lab manager studying alcohol and cigarette addiction before realizing I wanted to work more directly with people currently affected by mental health issues. I returned to the University of Pittsburgh and graduated with my Master’s in Social Work in 2026. I learned about who I want to be as a therapist by working community events with the local animal shelter and by providing counseling as a student therapist in a community-based family health center.

I am passionate about my free time and hobbies, they are very important to me! I like playing Nintendo or PC video games, reading books and watching movies (usually sci-fi/fantasy, classics, or history). I love taking care of my cat and bonsai tree, and I love spending time outdoors.
