Taking the steps to seek out therapy can be difficult and it takes courage to get here. You might be experiencing feelings of anxiety, overwhelm, or a disconnection from your sensory needs or body cues. Perhaps you want to dig deeper into aspects of your identity, neurodiversity, or connection to community. No matter what brought you here, I aim to meet you where you are. I believe we are not meant to move through difficult spaces on our own, and that we need community and interpersonal connection to guide and support us. Intersectional identities and socio-cultural experiences cannot be ignored in the therapeutic process and my goal is to create a compassionate space in which people can feel safe to bring their whole, authentic selves.
My therapeutic approach is person-centered; I believe everyone’s story is unique – you are the expert of your own experience and bring your own individual history to the therapeutic space.Therapy can help us reflect on the larger patterns in our life, as well as provide us new skills and approaches to navigate our day to day emotional experiences. Working together, we can find ways to connect with your strengths, self-compassion and explore mind-body connection.
I am a body-liberation aligned counselor, supporting peoples’ holistic well-being. I encourage connecting to joy through movement and somatic experience. I value creativity, expression, and playfulness and believe in their power to profoundly enhance our lives. Additionally, I am a queer-identifying therapist who can often connect with people exploring sexuality and gender identity.
In my personal life, I enjoy spending time outside with my dog, creating art, connecting with my community, listening to music and checking out stacks of comic books from the library. Whenever possible, I can be found swimming and floating in a body of water.
